Maternity

The adventure of having a baby starts the day you know you are pregnant and what better way to remember this precious time than with a photo shoot of the incredible journey you and your body undertake. Here at Christian Michael we fully understand the doubts and questions that come to mind when many mothers to be think of having a maternity shoot and that these doubts often lead to never exploring this great opportunity. Here are some questions and answers to help.

Q: Do I have to be nude to have a shoot?
A: Not at all! Everyone is an individual and we know that to come in and undress is more acceptable to some than others. We are very sensitive to this issue and ask that a range of clothing is brought to the studio including big wooly jumpers and whatever you feel happy wearing, or not as the case maybe.

Q: Can I bring my partner or a friend along?
A: You can bring whoever you want to bring and we are more than happy to share our coffee with them as well! We encourage fathers to take part in your shoot to create a real family feeling.

Q: I have stretch marks, can these be edited out?
A: We are able to airbrush and enhance most images.

Q: At what stage is it best to come in and have shots done?
A: We suggest any time after 24 weeks but this is very much down to the individual and we are happy to photograph you when you feel ready.

Q: How much does a maternity session cost?
A: We charge £150 for the session which includes a disc and a 10x8 print. Please see our prices page for future details.
